Outline of Geography in New Zealand


New Zealand comprises two main islands, the North and South islands, Te Ika a Maui and Te Wai Pounamu New Zealand is located in opposite position in Japan across the equator. The area is about 270,000 square kilometers and three- forth as large as Japan. There are a lot of high mountains and highlands, moreover there are some active volcano in New Zealand. Air, water, soil are also really clean so New Zealand is comfortable for us. Additionally, due to the geography, there are a lot of rare plants and animals.
